- Coordinate with Local and Remote team/clients.
- Technical planning and estimation of new projects.
- Contributing to our internal development & DevOps processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Lead the development of WordPress sites collaborating with both local and remote development teams.
- Be responsible for the health and maintainability of our codebase.
- Integrate a wide range of WordPress plugins, APIs, and third-party apps and forms.
- Develop, test, and troubleshoot across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including tablets and smartphones, to support the consistent and positive customer experience.
- Follow SEO best practices for site development.
- Research and recommend new technologies and tools for effective integration across various platforms.
- WordPress plugin customization.
- Strong understanding of WordPress development processes.
- In-depth understanding of performance/security considerations.
- Developing/modifying custom WordPress/Woo-Commerce themes and plugins.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, JS(jQuery), CSS, and HTML.
- Good understanding of version control using git.
- Knowledge of Javascript frameworks such as jQuery or React.js.
- Knowledge of WP Rest API and WP CLI.
- Knowledge of WordPress coding standards.
- Working experience with Gutenberg (e.g creating dynamic blocks).
- Proficient in English communication.
Good To Have:
- Experience of working with high traffic websites.
- Remote working experience.
- Knowledge of WordPress Unit Testing (PHPUnit).
- Experience with WordPress's core contributions.
- Author of WordPress Plugins/Themes on WordPress.org.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience as a WordPress back-end developer.
- Experience with popular WordPress plugins such as WooCommerce, ACF Pro, WPML, LMS, MemberPress, BuddyPress, Jetpack etc.
- Experience working with APIs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in plugin development and customization.
